Client Information

Thank you for visiting my website. Choosing the right counselor can be a delicate process, so I want to make this as comfortable as possible. On this page I'll tell you a few things about my practice which may help you decide if I'm the right fit for you at this moment in your life. For information specifically about me go to Meet Bill.

In the aftermath of COVID-19, I have transitioned to a solely telehealth practice. Licensing regulations allow me to work with clients anywhere within the state of Florida.

Scope of my practice

I am philosophically grounded in the humanistic/client centered tradition holding the belief that each person has an inner drive toward wholeness and health. My job is to collaborate with my clients to determine the most effective pathway towards healing and greater life satisfaction. My primary modality is EMDR therapy. However, I like to empower treatment goals from multiple directions, so this work is often enhanced with hypnotherapy (clinical hypnosis) and/or mindfulness based cognitive therapy.

Treating individual adults, I often work in collaboration with couples and family therapists. My practice welcomes people of all faiths/no faith, genders/gender identities, sexual orientations, and lifestyles. I seek to help you become your best self which is consistent with your values and circumstances.

Insurance

I do not participate in any insurance panels. If you wish to be reimbursed by your insurance carrier, verify that your plan allows you to see out-of-network providers. Some aspects of your privacy may be compromised when utilizing insurance. Please note: A separate out-of-network deductible may be required before any reimbursement will be paid to you. If you choose to use your insurance, you would pay me my standard fee and I will provide you a statement to file with your insurance provider.

Clinical Fees

Most clients prefer to pay directly for counseling services to protect their privacy and treatment options. Fees are based on length of scheduled session:

  • 45-50 minutes  = $140 (standard session)
  • 90-minutes = $210

In addition to cash or check, all major credit cards are accepted.

Clinical Hours –
Appointment availability varies weekly. My calendar is usually filled two to four weeks out. New clients are accepted as availability permits. Clinical hours are limited as I also teach and am involved in other projects. If you have schedule flexibility and don't need to be seen urgently, we're more likely to be a good fit for each other.

  • Tuesday – 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Wednesday – 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
